Weddings are an emotional affair and the Wedding Saree is more than just a six to
Nine Yards of cloth. It is a treasured garment which helps the bride relive the bittersweet moments of her big day. Finding a wedding saree that you like, which flatters your body, and expresses your style and personality is not easy and we are just glad we could help brides find their dream drapes. Through “Brides of Sundari”, we feature our stunning brides who serve major bridal look goals.
Anjana and Vignesh
From the day the wedding events were decided, Anjana and Vignesh knew they wanted a wedding filled with a lot of glitz, glam, laughter and joy. From choosing a regal red Kanchipuram Saree to complement the auspiciousness of the day to go for a traditional floral mandap, they turned their dream wedding into a reality. The glow on their faces in the photos truly reflects that the match was indeed made in heaven.
Baavana and Ashwath
Baavana and Ashwath’s wedding was a traditional ceremony which mirrored their culture and heritage. She chose a vintage Paalum Pazhamum Kanchipuram Silk Saree - a classic composition of shades and shapes for the oonjal. The highlight of her ensemble was the parrot perched upon the wedding garland to resemble Goddess Andal. For the reception, she wore a stunning rani pink Kanchipuram silk saree with a gold zari turning border. She styled the saree with an open pallu drape, elbow length blouse and statement Choker and Jhumkas.
Mekha and George
Yellow is undoubtedly a favourite colour for brides and they like to wear that shade for at least one event at their weddings. Mekha, had a beautiful Christian wedding with floral vines as a backdrop. She wore a sunshine yellow Kanchipuram Silk Saree with Gold Zari designs across the body, which she accessorised with a simple gold choker embedded with green stones to add a pop of colour to her ensemble. George, wore a matching yellow shawl to complement her drape and they tied the knot basking in the golden glow of the warmth showered by their loved ones.
Tinku and Muralikrishnaa
From Malaysia to Madras, Tinku and Muralikrishnaa embarked on a journey to pick out their dream Wedding Outfits. The gorgeous golden saree that Tinku picked was the focal point around which they planned the entire wedding, right from the mandap decor to the centrepieces. Tinku’s wedding look was traditional with layers of jewellery adding hue to her shimmering gold saree.
