The common thread that unites them is the emotional bond they share with us. Most of them, have been our customers since the very beginning and have played a huge part in making our journey so beautiful. When we reached out to these 6 remarkable women, they were more than happy to pose graciously in our Diwali Collection and also chatted with us about their love for Sarees, personal style and nostalgic memories with Sundari Silks.

Presenting to you, Mrs.Vidya Srikkanth, a saree enthusiast and wife of our beloved former Indian Captain, Krishnamachari Srikkanth. She carries a deep love for sarees in her heart and is always on the lookout for new weaves and fabrics.

Here are a few excerpts from the chat session we had with her.

How did your tryst with Sundari Silks begin?

My association with Sundari Silks goes a long way back and I have an emotional connection with the shop. Right from my Seemandham saree to Diwali's and weddings in my family, all the 9 Yards and other Sarees I have picked only from Sundari.  My favourite time pass is just walking into Sundari and looking at various sarees. It is such a stressbuster for me.

The one thing you like the most about Sundari Silks.

The one thing I love about Sundari Silks is that they never repeat their sarees. You won’t see a lot of people wearing the same saree again and again. I enjoy that. I must also say, Mani has been very very sweet and extremely nice to me. I go about ordering various colour combinations and putting in together and he comes out with it. I don’t know how they do it and I love the personal attention I receive at Sundari.

Favourite purchase from Sundari Silks.

The Nine Yards Saree I got for both of my son’s weddings. It is an amazing saree. It is a pinkish-orange shot with gold zari checks and a gold border. I can actually think of so many other sarees. The wedding reception saree for my son’s wedding is also an outstanding saree. I love to preserve all my sarees and I think Sundari is the best store I have been associated with for my Traditional Kanjivaram Sarees.

Do you have any special memories with Sundari Silks?

I bought one saree recently for a show I did on Star Plus called Smart Jodi. I appeared in 13 episodes and out of that at least 7 or 8 episodes I wore only Sundari sarees. But the entry saree which I wore for the grand opening was such a hit. I got so many compliments for wearing that.  It came out so striking in front of the camera.  It is such a beautiful saree that a lot of people fell in love with the saree and kept calling me to ask where I got it. I told them to go to Sundari and tell them they want something similar to this saree I wore and they might do it.

How would you describe your personal style? What do you look for when you pick a silk saree?

I would prefer not to go with very very grand sarees. I like to play around with colours, textures and probably unique borders like Korvai Sarees. I like all traditional sarees.

Describe your experience with us in one word.

I have a very personal relationship with all at Sundari Silks. I have an emotional connection.
